Ubuntu 14.04 / 16.04

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jonathonf/python-3.6
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install python3.6
sudo apt-get install idle3
sudo apt-get install python3-pip


sudo yum -y update
sudo yum -y install yum-utils
sudo yum -y groupinstall development
sudo yum -y install https://centos7.iuscommunity.org/ius-release.rpm
sudo yum -y install python36u
sudo yum -y install python36u-pip
sudo yum -y install python36u-devel



sudo pkg install python
python3 -m pip install -U pip


Install HomeBrew

ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)"

The script will explain what changes it will make and prompt you before the installation begins. Once you’ve installed Homebrew, insert the Homebrew directory at the top of your PATH environment variable. You can do this by adding the following line at the bottom of your ~/.profile file1

export PATH=/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:$PATH

brew install python3
